Chester W. Cecil (b. 1912, Crowell, Tex.-d. Sept. 15, 1996), U.S. Air Force officer and pilot, completed flying school and received his commission in 1936. He later studied meteorology at M.I.T., supervised weather stations and flew with the 27th Reconnaissance Squadron in Puerto Rico, and in 1942 became weather officer for the 6th Air Force in the Panama Canal Zone.
